Pro Cycling 2025

Personally, I’m hoping that NBC doesn’t renew their contract with ASO, and Flo with Flanders Classics, for the US coverage, and it ends up on Max, with most of the other coverage. The feeds would be largely the same, but the commentary would be SO much better. And maybe we’d get The Breakaway, too.

Too late….they renewed last year. Re-upped through 2030, I believe.

Wow. That is ‘unfortunate’. :frowning:

Voss won the race for visma by closing kopecky and wiebers down that was one heck of an effort I think without that they are gone. She also shut down everything after ferrand-prevot attacked. Kopecky worked way to much for wiebes who clearly was suffering.

Looking forward to the mens race even though I only have an SD feed so it looks like something out of the early 2000s. As it rains here thinking of moving my outside ride on the trainer and watch the race…

Can confirm there’s a good reason to VPN in today

Hopefully Alpecin doesn’t Visma this finish. Time to launch MVDP over and over

Gutted for pederson😢

Hopefully this finish is more exciting than it looks like it will be

De Jasper has a massive aerobic engine for being a sprinter. Alpecin has nailed this

36k TT

I think the pederson flat impacted the outcome more than that overcooked turn from pog

So often I feel cheated of a good finish by a mechanical issue at this race

Ah well, mvdp a solid winner as always

It’s over…..

Agree to disagree

If you didn’t watch Peacock, you missed Phil just congratulating himself for not saying Adrie during the broadcast today. Was pretty funny and both he and Bob laughed

I did not have that result at Amstel on my Easter Bingo Card.

Great race.

All that finish needed was a 2019 MVDP rampaging in from behind to liven up the sprint

What a great race - I’d have bet anything on Skelmose in the finish when it turned that cagey (for the record I’d also have bet anything on Pog staying away witth 40km to go) - the announcer seemed unaware of his kick

Sets us up for a great LBL - can only imagine the ‘think’ pieces on the demise of Pog :joy:

After losing Roubaix and Amstel in back-to-weeks, he is clearly washed.

Feel that the peloton bought into our sarcastic hot takes today. What did they expect going into the finale with him?

Wasn’t even like the pace was on in the final circuit as evidenced by the break sitting 15 seconds off the front for 30 km

On the bright side the women’s peloton did the same and got a somewhat surprising winner, love to see puck not over riding a finish
