Hi. I use powertap P1s single sided power meter pedals on an elite fluid non smart trainer. Works great with TR and I use gears and cadence to achieve desired wattage. My power numbers constantly change by up to 15 watts on the TR app while my cadence is constant and usually above 80 RPM. Any ideas why this happens?
Natural spikes in power. I’d recommend setting the power smoothing in the app to 3 seconds to even it out a bit.
I think with pedals based power meters the guys suggested 10s… I have Assioma Duo and 3s are not enough… having said that it also comes down to personal preference

Thanks. I’ve been using 3 second smoothing but will try 10 seconds to see how it works.
