I haven’t got into the habit of drinking a lot of water day to day. My water intake is pretty poor but not so bad on the bike. Im just wondering has anyone been in the same situation but noticed a big difference when they started hydrating properly.
@teamkennyg if your usual practice is drinking to thirst throughout the day I don’t think you’ll notice a difference in performance. But if you come into a workout with a legit case of dehydration…let’s say 2%-3% dehydrated…then you’ll start to notice a difference. You won’t be that way if you’re drinking to thirst, of course.
If you’re thinking about the ‘drink 8 glasses of water a day’ myth…you won’t notice any positive benefits from that hydration approach vs just drinking to thirst.
