Paint chip on new bike, how bad is it?

I wouldn’t bother with the bondo, you’ll likely make a mess on parts you don’t want it on. You’ll have to deal with sanding it down which will make another mess.

If this was say a deep stone chip on the hood of a car they would just fill it with several layers of paint to build it up. So either see if they sell touch up or find something close, like the nail polish I found, and just start layering it up. You can warm it up with a heat gun between layers to make it dry faster but not necessary.

Personally I’d probably just sand the edge where it was chipping to make it less sharp and likely to chip more and leave it or then just do a single layer of some paint if its visible.

Sanded + gloss coat. Pretty happy with the result :+1:
