DM sent!
Posted more broadly, but figured I’d toss it to this thread.
Looking for a pair of previous generation bontrager velocis in white 43.5 if anyone had any leads!
Anyone have a spare set of break shoes? Or, have a link to a set of shoes I can purchase?
NOTE: Don’t need the break pads, just the shoes.
Hi, is this still available?
Sending DM.
Long shot here…
Searching for Boa S2 Snap dials for S-Works 6 shoes.
Alternatively, I’d buy S-Works 6 Road shoes in size 44 if anyone has any they’d part with.
If you don’t find someone that has one, BOA does sell replacement parts on their website, I see Specialized only has pink left on their website.
Head over to the link below - I picked up a set of S-Works 6’s that had a couple of worn out boas on them (but were in otherwise decent nic’) & just replaced them (for free).
From memory, all you have to do is submit a photo of the shoe and they send them straight out - it took approximately a week to arrive, I think!
You don’t even need to add a photo, you can skip that step!
Unfortunately, I’ve already done that.
Edit:
Didn’t realize their warranty was for the life of the shoes…
Going to see if they’ll send me two kits, since all four of the boas slip and lose tension.
Are they not covering their products under warranty anymore? Or what response did you receive from them? I have several different products that have BOA and haven’t had an issue yet, but may look at picking up spares if they’re not supporting their products.
I’m confused, what did you do?
A few weeks ago I used the Boa warranty page to request a replacement for my 2015 Specialized Audax shoes. I picked the wrong replacement, and Boa sent me gen2. I emailed Boa support, explained the issue, offered to return the gen2, included a more detailed photo with my best guess on the correct replacement, and they sent the correct Boa gen1 (believe there are 4 different versions of gen1). They also told me to not return the gen2 Boas sent because of my mistake.
So I’m confused because at least in the US, they will ship warranty replacements immediately, and if you screw up, a simple email should get you the correct replacement.
What exactly is the problem you are having with Boa? Are they no longer supporting the exact model you need?
I have also gotten simple and free warranty replacements from Boa - one of the best and simplest warranty replacements of anything I have gotten. I wish they lasted forever, but I think they strike a reasonable balance of durability along with free replacements when they break or wear out.
Edit above.
Going to see about getting two warranty kits, since all four of the boas are slipping.
I don’t want to spend any money keeping these shoes in service, as I have hundreds of rides in them and the velcro straps are almost worn through, as well.
On the Boa site go to Support and then Redeem Repair Kit.
Pretty sure my Specialized Audax are using S2 Snap.
After I screwed up and Boa sent S3 kit, they sent me two packs of S2 even though I only needed one. This is my extra kit:
and S2 Snap on Specialized website:
They look identical to my eyes.
Other than my screw up, it was painless and free to fix my shoes.
Update:
My warranty kit had already shipped when I asked about a second one.
So customer support at Boa shipped a second order.
I’m more than impressed!
Ill be using this as the left dial on my cycling shoes does not release fully and its a PITA to get my foot out
Hi everyone. Does anyone happen to possibly have a old garmin footpod they want to sell me? I have one which I use for treadmill running but it is on its last legs and I would rather not buy a stryd. I have not looked on ebay as of yet but I suspect they can be quite high now since garmin stopped making them a while back.
