10 to 1 says that’s right–the new plans are “baseline” plans with the idea that AT will ramp things up accordingly as you do well.
Amazing how many people have just finished a plan and are setting a new one up today. I wonder if they were all peaking for Paris-Nice last week?
The SSB plans look like a much easier baseline and progression
Sweet, just in time. I’m on SSBIILV week 5 and there is no way in frozen Hades I’m doing Leconte at 100% on Friday so this is just in time lol.
I like to wait for the official launch of something before making a judgment.
You mean you don’t join forums solely to complain directly to a manager/CEO and threaten to take your business elsewhere?
I’m also a bit…confused about the plans. SSB definitely seems to be a bit more compliance friendly, hell HV seems doable now. Not sure what happened to TB though, I quite enjoyed it and now it seems to have shifted more to SSB type of work.
Not terribly vital right now as it’s warming up and my training season is officially over, but I’m curious what this will evolve into by fall and what the logic was changing the TB plans specifically
Hmmm even trad base low volume i has changed… used to be all the same workout for one week and now its gotten swapped over to different rides… i’ll finish my current block and see how it goes for the next one…by then i’ll probably hop on to the polarized bandwagon
i wonder if what happened is that somebody deployed the new plans to the wrong environment lol
You must be new here. We like judging will as little information as possible. Why wait to understand it?
All,
as Jonathan mentioned yesterday, a major cloud issue with Azure occurred while we were deploying new features yesterday. What you’re seeing right now are bits and pieces of what was intended. We’ll be working on fixing things today, and when things are official, you’ll know it. Until then, we appreciate your patience!
Keep up the good work. @trainerroad
That a forum cant have ![]()

Thanx @SeanHurley. I think that clears things up a bit.
Just in case people don’t have access to compare, old version of SSB 1 HV on my calendar
new version
So it’s a gentler progression, which should appease the “too intense” crowd as-is, but with AT this will likely look different for folks.
The tough thing is that TR is NEVER going to appease everyone - just not possible. If you do not like the new plans you have a few options then.
- Go buy another training plan that suits your needs and use TR to implement said plan
- Use the workout library to create your own plan - or recreate the plans you’ve used before
- move onto another service and say goodbye to TR
And there are other options to you as well.
Thanks for letting us know!
They have our email addresses.
Maybe an email with the reasoning and science behind the changes, as well as expectations with how the new plans will interact with AT?
“Utterly useless” is a bit of an exaggeration, don’t you think?
True.
