I’ll just chime in here, I had a heck of a time getting one of my Schwalbes to mount up, the other went on first try. For me, I re-wrapped the tape on the bad wheel and it seated up first time. Loaded sealant, took them for a ride, and they’ve been great ever since.
It was my first road tubeless setup, and thus far happy with the Schwalbes. I’m switching to Pirelli Cinturato 25/28 for my offseason training - roll slower but bombproof. We’ll see how much life the Schwalbes have left by then to see if I’ll switch next race season. So far I’m about 400km in and no issues on the road.
I’m keen to try the Pirelli PZero Race TL that I can get at the store down the street at a good price. Teammates use them and love them. I have Conti experience, but not with Pirelli yet. These are my training/backup racing wheels. Haven’t converted the race set to tubeless yet, but thinking I might go full tubeless soon on all three wheelsets I have.
