This is so exciting - I’ve had to let my subscription lapse for now (cost of living on a student stipend means that extras such as TR have to take a back seat), but look forward to using this feature when I’m back!
DMing for a few more details on this
Ooooooo. Thanks TR Team.
Now I regret deciding to skip today’s lunch run … maybe I’ll nip out tonight when it’s less than 40°C
Ah, good things come to those who wait
Argh, I did a run after this was announced, but before I saw it and enabled it in early access. Will have to wait until tomorrow now for my next run.
I know it’s probably way down the list of features especially around importing runs/swims, exporting workouts for them etc, but are you going to do a better job with multisport activities? At the moment they import the entire thing as a ride. I know you can disable TSS and PRs for it, but still, it’s a bit of a mess. Even if you just discarded the swim, run and transition bits it would be more useful than now!
So, no mobile view yet?
I saw on the web calendar, but on the mobile app calendar i dont see the run.
No, not yet. Its in the FAQs.
Taken from the original post above…
" Note that for initial Early Access to this feature, run activities are only visible on your calendar on TrainerRoad.com and not yet through our apps, but we plan to eventually add this functionality to our apps with other future improvements."
I havent learn how to RTFM
In your defence its the very last one! I think we were all pretty excited and stopped reading in our haste to turn early access on!
I was expecting this to be there, because, you know, we have been waiting for only 84 years
I have 5 months of run data - back to April 10th - still all good - nice to see all my training appearing in my TR calendar as well as my Strava feed. I even write it down in a diary…so that’s triplicate …thanks v much
Question. Went for a walk today and it did not pull over. Will only “run” on my garmin pull??
I had the following issues after enabling early access:
- tcx files from Garmin Connect fail to manually upload.
- fit files from Strava upload but don’t display in the calendar on the web.
Now filled in back to May 2020 - which I think is when I started running again using my Garmin - so all there - excellent. I’m not going to go back and estimate the TSS for them all though!
I went for a walk too but recorded it as a run just to see it work!
But I would do a fair bit of walking/ hiking which I’d love TR to capture too. I don’t always record them, but if I do it’s because I’m considering it “exercise” above normal day to day activity. But if the compromise is recording as a run and then reclassify in Strava/ Connect, i’d probably settle for that.
Did you upload one by one or you have a better technique?
Will record as a run just to see if it comes over. I dont care about messing up my run stats but interesting.
We are not pulling over Walks at the moment. Only Running type activities
Hmmmm. My running speed is comparable to a walk
