More workouts like this?

I just completed Barren and really enjoyed the challenge of not being able to let up - having to recover higher than a “recovery” interval in a typical workout. I am afraid I have become conditioned to the classic on/off nature of interval training and feel this was a very beneficial workout physically and mentally. Having to think about breathing and cadence and staying ready to jump while recovering in my endurance zone. I know there are variations of this one and blood as well as Tour de Nez - any others like this?
For the TR folks -when would you suggest subbing out a workout in our planned schedule for something like this?
I am starting build just after the new Year.

Home town shout out, the Nevada City Classic is another slightly brutal race simulation. :smile:
