Losing faith with new TR plans

Yes, the new sustained power build is not very sustained power - here I totally agree. And I am huge fan of sustained power workouts.

But… when you look at the composition of the workouts it is a proper build (from a classical point of view). Vo2 max should elicit central adaptations and improve the ceiling, and along that probably FTP. Stock FTP build plans from very reputable coach are basically 2 vo2 max weekly and a threshold workout. The structure here is quite similar. The real muscle endurance part should be taken care off during late base.

The problem I see is the categorization of builds under different names that suggest specificity, but in the end you want to build your FTP during build.
