Hi,
Is there a possibility for TrainerRoad to add linear endurance workouts in the future? I frequently train for 2 hours during the week and longer at weekends at endurance and noticed most endurance workouts have a lot of changes in power. The option to choose an alternate workout at straight 65% of FTP for example for would welcomed by myself at least.
I monitor my HR regularly during endurance rides along with RPE and this would make it easier to adjust.
Thanks.

TrainerDay has workouts in which the power adjusts to keep your HR at your chosen bpm.
I would like for TR to have such workouts too, but appreciate that is very unlikely to happen, even though @eddiegrinwald recommends going off HR for Zone 2 rides (e.g. here Zone 2 confusion - #10 by eddiegrinwald)

As per @Brennus workout creator is ace! I’ve used it for years and is just what you need!
Assuming you are doing the rides indoors I would just turn erg off and maintain a steady output in resistance mode.
I think the slight variations are more to alleviate boredom rather than for any particular training stimulus.
James is a 90 minute ride at 74%, anyone know what happens to PLs if you manually adjust it to 65% for example?
I also like the flat power target, free ride is my friend but AFAIK free rides don’t count for PLs.

Check out a workout called Margarita.
2:15, all of which (besides warmup and cooldown) is at a constant 74%.
Millers and Klothos are the closest workouts I can find that meet the criteria of being “linear” and around 65% of FTP, though they’re both only 75 minutes long.
There are still plenty of existing options that have many, but small fluctuations in power, such as Rymsza, and if you’re riding outside, those changes in power are negligible..
I agree with the others that, for the time being, using the Workout Creator could be your best option if you want something highly specific.
