Thanks Chad, much appreciated!
Can we have a discussion on training in a very cold space and managing heat/cold during intervals? My garage (Scotland) ranges between 18C in the summer and -2C in the winter. Ive always trained in just cycling shorts bare upper body… i have the amazing and much loved Lasko sports version fan but find that its uncomfortably cold during warmup, cool down and inbetween intervals in the winter and just about keeps me cool during the intervals. Do you have recommendations for this? Wear a base layer, increase garage air temp?
Assuming the fan power control is not within arms reach… the first option is really to use an outlet remote control on the fan, so you can turn it on/off as needed right from the bike.
- There are numerous versions of dumb (simple remote control like a garage door remote) to fancy Wifi versions you can run from your mobile device. But any of these can give you that quick on/off control which is priceless, IMO

- Amazon.com : outlet remote control
You can also consider layering clothing with the use of the switch above, if you have trouble regulating between what might be a maximum vs minimum level of cooling you set for the fan.
I actually have all 3 solutions… the smart socket via mobile app, the dumb remote that controls up to 4 sockets and the lasko fan that comes with the 3 speed remove (Cleva UK, on another thread).
I guess i should try different base layers and see how i get on…
