Great audio. I can barely bring myself to listen to some new podcasts on iTunes, which may have great content but garbage audio.
I agree with most here that it’s not a real issue. Only reason I notice any interruptions is because Chad talks the least, yet he’s the one I want to hear from the most. But over all I’m sure they interrupt each other equally and that’s what happens when you have an open discussion. Podcasts are continuing to exceed my expectations, please keep up the good work.
You can have hair like that as well if you use Squirt chain lube as hair gel
Seems all good to me, never miss a pod cast, with Jonathan’s chatter, Chads deep dives, and Nate’s antics make a very entertaining pod, keep chattering chaps!!
Wow monarch is incredibly rude. While there is always room for improvement for everyone, this could’ve been presented in a respectful manner. Jonathan, you’re an awesome host! You keep the conversation going and it’s very entertaining and informative. Props to you on a good response to a very rude comment
@Jonathan Superb job on podcast #219 (Eurobike discussion with Ray Maker)! Very nice step up in performance vs. my #2 critical comment posted above about earlier podcasts (referenced below), both in adding value where you had it and respecting Ray’s and Nate’s time to comment. Also, continued excellence in #1 (controlling the agenda and guiding the discussion) and #3 (wrapping up). Great job! Keep up the great work!
I applaud@Monarch, the OP, and think it is GREAT that you and the TR team are taking note! As a 3x CEO and C-level exec for 25 years in aggregate, the absolute best feedback I/we received was from our most vocal customers. It is investigating and then responding to their most critical feedback that makes you stronger. Five (5) star reviews are great for marketing purposes, but do little for making you a better company (other than the referrals they lead to). As for the specific f…
I’m going to defend Jonathan , I think his input is entirely inline with the general conversational atmosphere the podcast is trying to create , I think his small interruptions are mainly for clarification of small points layman cyclists often don’t understand, after all you do have the option to rewind if you didn’t catch exactly what Chad was saying .
I think Jonathan is excellent in fact all 3 of them compliment each other well .
I personally like the way you interact during the discussions but I really commend you for your polite response. A true gentleman.
you’re doing an awesome job Jonathan!!
I think one of the great things about Jonathan’s commentary is his ability to summarize in simpler terms the often more technical/scientific information given by Chad. That’s just my two cents.
Nope leave it as is. Jonathan’s dynamic with everyone is great and one of the reasons why I keep coming back. This sort of reaction could’ve been done somewhere else instead of here on the forum. Rude way to do it but, in this day and age where everyone thinks their opinion matters I guess this is what we get.
I had a similar issue with the podcast a while back. I realized what it was after posting. Since then I’ve realized that no matter what I love this podcast and this crew!!! They are people and they have a true love for what they are doing and sometimes get excited and interrupt each other. I’m good with it. It all works and I just smile to myself. Keep up the good work Jonathan, Nate, Chad & crew!!! You as well Pete!!!
@Jonathan I think you did a great job of accepting @Monarch’s criticism graciously. It’s definitely not easy to be criticised so publicly. I personally feel it is completely unwarranted and it seems the vast majority of listeners agree too.
Keep up the good work mate.
I haven’t noticed anything annoying in the way Jonathan runs the show. Plus, if you want to say something on the TR podcast, you always have to interrupt Nate
I’ve noticed it a bit, but not just Jonathan, but you also Interrupt Chad a fair bit too. But the interruptions do the opposite of staying on a topic, and often means a thought doesn’t get finished, and only sometimes gets the time to go back and finish.
The reason I haven’t said anything, is that while some of us might find it annoying, Chad is the one who can deal with it if it is really annoying him.
I kind of think Nate is the worst interrupter… but if you don’t like interruptions I’m not sure if there are any podcasts you’d like hosted by more than one person.
Is this circle jerk almost over!? Jonathan is a tough dude, he can take some constructive criticism.
This thread made me think of Survival Bias. Quite an interesting topic in its own right.

Just thought I would interrupt this thread
I agree, as soon as you loose one of the 3, the podcast looses something magic. I listened to the Oxygen Addict podcast because they did a special on the race I took part in, and whilst it was packed full of info and interviews with pros, it was hard listening.
Without Jonathan there’s no structure, without Nate there’s no relatability and entertainment, without Chad there’s no gravitas. Now, I’d be interested as to whether @Nate_Pearson, @Jonathan and @Chad planned this from the start, or whether they’ve just grown into this format.
