Getting a meaningless message, and denied. Over and over, same message, over the past 5 minutes or so. Strava status shows everything up and operational.
Loads ok on my iphone
Its fine for me. It did spit me out earlier as it was doing an update though.
Weird, on my Windows system, it just keeps going back to the login screen. Works fine on my iPhone. So not working on a MacBook Pro, Windows 11, but iPhone is fine.
Hmm. Still not working. Wow…
Wow, it’s Firefox!! Nothing with updated Firefox is working for me. Either than or it’s an extension that Strava isn’t happy with.
This is so weird…
I use an extension called ‘Privacy Badger’ that can block trackers and other potentially nefarious and invasive website badness, and apparently Strava is REQUIRING that the trackers they use to not be blocked. This seems like a new thing with Strava, and for comparison, Garmin Connect uses the same trackers, which are treated the same way by Badger, and yet I can login as normal.
SO: This means that Strava is using and requiring trackers for logins. Interesting… What else are they doing, or about to do. Since other sites I visit don’t have an issue with blocking trackers, and Strava itself didn’t until recently, why deploy trackers and why require users not block them except for the ability to use subscribers to make more money. GREED?! HEINOUS?! NEEDLESS?! A problem for user security? The last straw to make people dump Strava?
I hope I’m wrong, but if I disable Privacy Badger, I can login. Enable Privacy Badger, and I can’t login.
I think it’s an issue with your filters. Strava is requiring users to not block tracking software? - #2 by huges84
