IRONMAN 70.3 UT Discussion Thread

Anybody else thinking of racing this new 70.3 in UT?

Rumors have the swim taking place in Deer Creek Reservoir up in the Heber Valley, the bike course will at some point have you descending Provo Canyon down to Orem at Scera Park where it sounds like T2 and the run finish will be.

Timeframe sounds like August, so likely to be nice and toasty.

I’m looking to change things up next year and do more multisport training and I think I wanna do this one!

Any more juicy rumors or insight into the race??

It’s a shame they scheduled it only a week after the new Ironman Montana (which is also going to be announced this week); I’d love to do it.

Priority registration opens October 27th, and general registration on the 29th.

It looks like they moved those routes to private. Anybody catch them before they were switched? Curious to see if the bike does a loop in Heber Valley (seems like that would be a logical choice).
