I got tired of waiting and bought a 4iiiii PM for the road bike, but I’m still without on my MTB.
I haven’t seen any follow up to the post yet so who knows. I too got tired of waiting an purchased a used Stages (there’s good deals out there if you are patient and willing to look around).
Certainly on the MTB side of it, unless said company is SRM there won’t be a MTB offering and even if it was SRM, their price is so $$$ that even a “good” discount would still be expensive.
I did purchase the new pedal version (not through kickstarter or indegogo). I had few email interaction with Kenneth originally wanting to cancel. Few days ago I decided it was taking too long so I wanted to cancel and I never got a response. Therefore I just disputed with the credit card company.

Hi all,
We’re producing at a slow pace and doing our best to ramp up asap. As visible in the video below, the assembly steps are getting more and more automized, enabling us to increase production speed as soon as we have all components.
Most producers are on schedule and have been able to deliver the components needed. The wait is still for the PCBAs however. This is something we cannot influence, which is frustrating for all parties involved. While we’re waiting for those, other manufacturers have to be halted again and we will have to reserve new production timeslots once we know when our flow will start. At this point it all comes down to finding the balance between all production partners.

Wow this sounds shady… they are alleging that all parts need to be produced at the same time? Seriously? Do they intend to ramp up a JIT production plant to produce a few thousand products?
Not buying it, sorry.
My guess is they don’t have the means to pay their suppliers upfront and now they are facing a dilemma.
I wish someone would inject enough cash and knowhow to finally get this off the ground.

Great offer from P2M who rarely dish out any discount on their latest units.
Long ran out of popcorn here and would predict these IQ2 units are never coming - really taking the piss that you can still pre-order on the website but then it does say coming in Jan 2021 
Wow, that’s great. Has anyone asked if the discount applies through their North American distributor? Or do we need to work directly through power2max? I ask because the ngeco p2m with rotor cranks is 590 dollars on the North American website while the main website has them listed for 590 euro, which isn’t a stellar discount once you do the currency conversions.

Isn’t that what they’re doing? They’re effectively buying good will from people who have been burned by another company, doesn’t seem like poor business to me.

It depends how you view it. Some might see it as a cheap attempt to steal sales, others may see it as a gesture of good will to people who have been getting the short end of the stick for quite some time.
Considering iQ2 haven’t really produced anything more than a few test samples, I fall into camp 2. If P2M did this to a company that was actually producing and shipping product, I would be in camp 1.
When I think about how many people put down deposits, the wait, and the hoops people will have to jump through to get a refund I feel genuinely disappointed on their behalf
Well, I mean technically that’s impossible isn’t it? It’s not like any of the backers are getting their money back from IQ2!

The way I see it - P2M are using this as a marketing opportunity, sure, but at the same time offering some light to the beleaguered IQ2 backers like me who’ve been strung along for 2.5 years. To get what is , by all accounts, an excellent PM with great support at a 30% discount is the best thing that’s come out of this mess.
Not sure how P2M could have promoted this to IQ2 backers other than using the IQ2 (disgruntled) backers FB page. Creative marketing, in my book - nothing dodgy at all.
