Idea /Improvement Outside Workout Quality Score

Just an idea i just had. Would it be possible for the AI Machine in TR to give us a score on how good we executed a workout and give a feedback what was good and what was not optimal.

Score from 1-10 for example 10-Very good 1-Bad

I just did Wheel -3 Outside and it was going well. I had a good hill for it, once i messed up a bit because i unintentionally skiped a part of the first interval but i somewhat made up for it.

Also it would be cool if in the Graph of the Outside Workout the Target Power would also be included. So i can see if i did the Key Part of the workout in the required Zone.

Thanks in Advance

Garmin does something similar if you do a Garmin workout, it gives you an ‘Execution Score’. I would think TR could implement similar now multiple ‘press lap to continue’ arent there for many workouts. When there was multiple annoying 'press lap to continue ’ at the start of every block I think it would have been too hard.

This is a great idea! :raising_hands:

It can be tough to get your Outside Workouts to be really accurate, and I think scoring them with some feedback would be a great way to help build those skills.

I’ll share this with the team! Thanks!

I like this idea. I think it would be valuable indoors too for those not using erg mode.

Glad to see this idea is being well received by others, too. Another nice side effect is that it can be very motivating to strive for a good score. You could make it a 1-star to 5-star rating system. Doing this for indoor non-ERP workouts is a cool idea, too.
If you’re struggling to come up with a good marketing name for it, we could call it ‘Chasing the Stars’ — almost as good as ‘Check Volume’ (Hope you get the joke! haha)"

Hopefully the team likes the idea!
Thanks for the Feedback

FWIW: That workout graph in your original post looks way better than any of my outdoor workouts look. Almost looks like ERG mode indoors.

They are not always like this  the hill was good for it on the Over part i just had to do one upshift, after the set i turned down and ride the same part again. Nobody saw me do it so i did not look to stupid haha. To be fair i was proud of this one. :+1:

Hi @eddie, we have @ChasenM requesting something like this as well.

Can I add a plus 1 to this request?

Basically I want to know whether it was good enough to benefit from nearly as much as indoors.

Traffic and terrain will always effect consistency for me but the key thing I want to know, particularly as someone whose FTP stopped increasing last year when I started outdoor, and has yet to increase this year, is whether it was good enough to move the needle.
