my i9 hubs on my MTB make it sound like im being chased by a swarm of angry bees
I must say thatās such a unique sound from the Hydra that alone makes its cool!
spokester!, only the posh kids had those, at least with lolly sticks there was often a joke included. Chip forks if it was cooler weather
Also throw Hadley hubs into the mix. Though Iām not sure they make road hubs. They are on par with Chris King & I9 in terms of quality, noise and bling factor, but are just a tad less expensive.
I used to love loud hubs. 2 months with the industry nine torch and Iām almost ready for a dead silent one
Did you get this one?
Was swapping wheels on the gravel bike so took this vid for a bit of fun⦠scribe cycles gravel ratchet hub

Couldnāt think of another way of sharing Video, so stuck it on Instagram
Letās invent a loud front hub and make millions.
Iād reply, but I canāt hear you over the sound of my Industry Nine Hydra hubā¦
(joke aside, itās loud, too loud for my taste but the performance outweighs this)
some great posts, anyone wanna buy a pair of DTSwiss
Jonnyboy, that account is private, so we canāt listen to the glorious sounds of that gravel specific component
Iāve a lovely Newmen Evolution wheelset that make people pull over and let me pass in races because they think Iām a pro about to lap them. Thatās one advantage of a noisy freehub
The other advantage is they saved several hundred grams from the Rovals that came on my epic. And added plenty of width, stiffness, etc
Basically yes, youāll either need to buy a hub, spokes and pay someone to build it onto your current rim OR buy a new wheel which may be a little cheaper.
Oops. Changed it. Prepared yourself for some underwhelming photos!
Iāve got a Hope RS Mono hub on one of my wheels and itās loud as hell. Iāve comments on it before
Is it ok to remove āalmost allā grease from dt swiss 240 hubs?
