This morning I had a challenge adding a workout bc of a suggested rest day/yellow light - for background I had one day prior of riding. The AI doesn’t learn me, it’s driving me nuts.
Just open the TrainerRoad website, go to the account menu and in the settings tab you’ll see options to disable Fatigue Detection
I tried that prior to posting: it’s still there
Yeah, you can’t turn it off any more. You can turn off fatigue detection, but not RLGL.
Edit: I was wrong. I don’t know if it was a bug or I did something wrong or what, but when I tried earlier, it made no difference. I do it now and it removes them.
Edit edit! : If you turn Fatigue Detection off on the website, RLGL goes away. If you turn it off on the App, RLGL does not go away.
Whats the practical difference between the two (genuinely asking)?
The fatigue detection is based on guesses and how many times you’ve ridden. It doesn’t adapt to you, just some average factor for all. I’d ridden a 90 minute tempo ride, the first for a couple of days and I received a yellow rest day suggestion. I ignored it and tried to add another tempo ride and TR kept defaulting to an hour recovery ride. So I wanted to turn it off bc it’s useless and doesn’t adapt to the individual.
F’in AI removed my planned/scheduled workout again. No autonomy based on experience nor machine learning based on history at all ![]()
If you have rides you don’t want to change, pin them
If it changes the workout or just gives you a visual warning.
Curious how long were you off? You said first ride in a while.
Waiting for the why has my FTP gone down post in a couple of weeks. ![]()
3 days
Completely changes it
If I disable the Fatigue Detection switch all yellow days in my calendar are gone and just black…or what do you mean by RLGL?
I don’t understand. I just tossed an AI threshold workout in my calendar to force it to trigger a yellow day with an adaptation and changing the setting absolutely turns off yellow and red days for me.
Fatigue detection on and automatic adjustments on highlights the yellow day and switches the threshold workout (Baldy Cabin) for an endurance workout (James):
Fatigue detection on and automatic adjustments off highlights the yellow day but only suggests switching Baldy Cabin for James:
Fatigue detection off turns off the yellow day highlight and the suggested adaptations:
I’m guessing you have automatic adjustments set to ‘on’.
You should change it to ‘off’, then it won’t automatically adjust them.
You’re right. I don’t know if it was a bug or I did something wrong or what, but when I tried earlier, it made no difference. I do it now and it removes them.
Edit: @Greenswim is correct. If you turn Fatigue Detection off on the website, RLGL goes away. If you turn it off on the App, RLGL does not go away.
