Two weeks from now I have my A race. 120km mountain bike race with 3000m of climbing. My schedule just got destroyed for the next two weeks (may not actually get to do the race given what is going on in my personal life) but would like to keep the fitness I have developed over the past 3 months; I was able to do a handful of 5 hour rides over the past few months so developed some decent endurance. If all I can do this week and next week is 3 hours per week on the trainer should I be doing Vo2max, sweet spot or what to keep my fitness as high as possible? Threshold is off the table as its too warm right now and with the heat inside I dont have the mental capacity to do those on the trainer right now. Assistance is much appreciated.
