or could we better with a google sheet or something? It could show all time zones as calculated fields and you could just filter on the intensity/workout and time. We could then also easily hide/delete old rides rather than scroll through a huge thread.
Group ride of Rogers +5 starting in 10 minutes - code is 3ztnbm
Hey @SeanH , that’s right! I’m in the 2nd week of SSBHV. I have an early morning call so will have to get this done early today. We can catch up later in the week though. How about tomorrow 5 am Central time for Monitor +1?
Also, for today I’m doing Antelope +2 and the code is “r3ehhs”. Starting in the next 10 minutes! ![]()
I pulled Geiger +2 up to tomorrow and have swapped Monitor for the Austin Driveway Series Crit that’s now on zwift on Thursday’s. I plan to do the weekend rides outside if not raining. Maybe we can meetup next Tuesday.
Is there scope for the available group workouts to be shown on the app itself? Like an events kind of thing? Or would that get messy? Obviously not a quick and easy solution either but maybe better for people to find workouts who don’t use the forum (presumably thats a lot)
@Rob1, @handynzl, @mcneese.chad, @mathewsparents why not just a shared and community editable Google calendar? It’s easier to look at day/time slots in a calendar view than a spreadsheet. It’ll always display in each individual’s locally set time zone - so if I plan a workout at 6:30am here in USA East, someone in Sydney will just see it at 9:30pm when they view.
It won’t have the forced data entry of a spreadsheet, but we could make a simple copy/paste template with the details people should include when they add an event.
12:30 uk time. Test workout using Carson -5. 30mins sweet spot…
code is 4o0llp
Awesome, all the best for the Crit!
I’d have joined to try it out, but got calls all afternoon, sorry.
4o0llp. up and riding . but no friends ![]()
I wasn’t actually on the bike, but just popped into the workout to say “hi” to @brassir. We chatted for a few minutes while he was between SS intervals. Very cool! Good to virtually meet you ![]()
and you @dbf . saved me from solo group riding!!
Anyone up for a social Pettit today at
11:30AM New York time (1530 UTC)?
Group code: ur6oop
I’m on recovery week, plus it’s wet and cold outside here today, so I’ll be on it. Join me!
I set up a calendar for this idea. Were you thinking TR would be the owners of it?
Edit: Working on a Shareable/Editable Calendar
Hadn’t thought through as far as who would host the calendar in their Google account. Maybe it doesn’t matter? Not sure.
I did just try to add my 11:30am NY time Pettit to your calendar but it appears the permissions are set so that others can see events, but not edit. I gather for this type of calendar sharing editing isn’t allowed for others - it’d have to be the invite specific (one-by-one) email based sharing to allow everyone to add/edit their events. ![]()
But, maybe there’s a better workaround?! Looks like if you turn on “Automatically add all invitations to this calendar” in the calendar’s settings, then we could create our hosted events in our calendar, and just add your calendar as an invitee?

So I think I’ll be on Hurd -2 today, workout code rpl09h. So if you want a hard 1hr workout with 8x2.5min @ 120%, feel free to join. Looking at starting around 11:20am Eastern US time. I’ll edit this in case I have to change time. With an 8 year old at home who I’m helping to home-school things can change lol
More than likely I can join you.
AH I see, I thought it was going to work like a Google Doc. I’ll research and get back with everyone.
Looks like with that auto accept invites option, you’d just have to get this calendar specific ID to share with everyone:
- On your computer, open Google Calendar.
- On the left, under “My calendars,” point to the calendar you want to share.
- Click More
Settings and sharing . - On the left, click Integrate calendar .
- Copy the Calendar ID.
Then we just add that address as an invitee when we plan events from our own calendars. Maybe it’ll work? ![]()
Edit my time @dbf . I am going to wait until later to ride as i am getting my Saris MP1 delivered this afternoon. If you are available around 7 I can ride then. I am in Georgia fyi.
