The release notes for the latest firmware include a line about “Removed unnecessary beeps for notifications that don’t need them”

For my Edge 530, this seems to translate as ‘no audible alerts for any notification, ever’ (navigation, incoming SMS, nutrition…). Is this for real? And any idea how I switch them back on again?

I still get beeps for texts and phone calls. check your settings, there is a setting regarding it.

Yup, had this. A toggle of the ‘System tones’ choice seemed to get it chirping again.
