Trackstand eliminates having to re-clip at a stop… ![]()
You can see the charge remaining in the Assioma app.
My Bolt does.
The one thing that catches me out is that you get the low battery message when it drops below 20% and I think “still got 10 hours” then totally forget about charging them.
First day having some issues, 4 power drops. The first two seemed to be right after I took off from intersections where they did not report power right, although the wait was not long enough to put them into sleep mode (i was stuck at a freight train yesterday and they woke right up). The other two were when I was moving along and not from a stop, really weird
First one around 9:00, then again around 20:45, then 46:00, and 1:26:30, the power drops to zero, the Wahoo ROAM shows cadence as 0 also, but for some reason Strava is recording it as 89 or 79 or other random numbers. Firmware up to date, file with above timestamps sent to Favero, never had this issue before though. For the first one at 9:00, I took off, they read power for a few seconds, then dropped out for around a minute.
Hi TR community, first time poster here. Apologies, if this has been discussed. I have Favero Assioma Uno pedals and have been using them for over a year on the road. Last fall I made a transition to a smart trainer (Elite Suito) and wanted to use the same power source on the TR as outdoors. However, after pairing both devices, TR only reads half of the power compared to Suito (almost exactly half). My guess is that it reads the power produced by the left leg and does not multiply it by two as normally would be the case. Anyone had a similar problem? Have you found a way to fix it? Thanks!
Did you connect them via BT?
In case you use BT to connect trainer and Favero Assioma Uno, you need to enable “double the power” in Assioma app.
Had more drops yesterday, this only started two days ago, I went back through my previous rides and they were all trouble free. Also seeing HR spike and drop randomly, starting to wonder if its not the pedals but perhaps my Wahoo ROAM instead
Sure did. Thanks Brad, all fixed now
Hey @Cleanneon98 I’m not a Favero user, but reading what you have written sounds like something else is going on(hopefully).
Coincided with testing the trainers.
…conspiracy theory in the making.
Can you try a different head unit?
Also try with your Bluetooth disabled on your phone. I had a period where my PM would drop from my Wahoo for no apparent reason. I think it was my phone interfering with it.
Meant to update this but didn’t thank you for reminding. I analyzed some of the data on Strava and noticed that before every power drop, the HR either dropped or spikes or froze first. I washed my HR strap and the problems went away. I don’t know if it’s the headunit dropping signals when it drops the HR strap and tries to re-pair, but all is good now.
Hi, responding to this quite a bit later than the original post, obviously, but I also have the Assioma Duos and notice that my Wahoo bolt reports a 3 sec smoothed power that is lower than that recorded on TR, I’m assuming due to the fact that I have a 2-3% power imbalance between my legs (L is higher than R). I connect to the app through BT, so is it the case that TR is just doubling my L power resulting in artificially high power numbers in my workouts? Wondering how much over a workout this difference in reporting is affecting estimated kJ and TSS.
@sloanekathryn, you need to change a setting in your Assioma app to make sure it’s transmitting both R&L power through the left pedal (since TR can only connect to one pedal over Bluetooth). In settings, go to “compatibility with other apps” and choose “Unified Channel L”. This will ensure that you’re sending data from both pedals to TR.
If this doesn’t work I don’t have any other ideas!
Edit: @iamholland, the concern is that right power isn’t being transmitted to TR. This would be the case if @sloanekathryn has “Dual Channel L/R” selected in the Assioma app, because TR can’t see the right channel over Bluetooth.
My Roam used to show higher than strava because the setting was turned off where it counts 0 (coasting) for the average. After I toggled that back on, it was within 1%. Not sure what the issue is for you unfortunately. My last ride was 70mi 3.5 hours Wahoo reported 218w from Assioma, Strava says 218 as well, TR says 217
@jwellford - Thanks so much! That was the issue. I think workouts are going to be a little more painful over the next week…
It wasn’t on mine but have heard plenty other people say it was ( and certainly should be!)
Always worth checking.
Any idea when they will start shipping again? I am usually a Garmin guy but reading the forum and this thread has pretty much led me to purchasing the duos.
I have noticed this as well and then when I check the app battery power will be down on one of the pedals. I don’t know what the reason is but I am now very careful when I attach the charger plugs to get a solid orange light. My pedals are a bit older and have some wear and tear on the magnetic plugins.
*note if one pedal is low/goes flat you won’t have power measurements on the duo.
I need some help!
My pedals bearings are making a noise and when I checked them there is wear. Favero have indicated changing the bearings with a bearing kit. This is where it gets interesting there is no stock here in Australia. Does anybody know what bearings are in the pedals and I will check with my local bearing supplier if they have stock.
If you have the old bearings I.e. outer diameter inner diameter width will also do.
