Favero said they are expected to loose 20% capacity over 500 recharge cycles.

If one charge gets you 50 hours of use, and you use it 10 hours a week - thats just under 50 years.

Normal battery degradation should not be an issue on these - far more likely that the pedals will succumb to some other hardware fault first.

Yeah. Mine have gotten far less the 10 hrs/wk. I most often ride mtb with a different PM and use the trainer for power indoors. Time degrades Li-ion batteries as well. In my case it’s more the calendar than charge cycles. I think 7 years is a pretty good run, and may get a few more years yet.
