Erg mode returns power below target

@eddie helped me trouble shoot some of the outcomes I was getting in a workout that some of the intervals were below target despite my effort being relatively steady.

Did another one today and all three are just below

Doesn’t look like cut outs and I’ve been using the same power pedals and trainer for five years.

If I just increase the intensity a few percent, will that fix it?

Or will AI think I’m missing my increased targets?

Has anything with your training setup changed?

What about other non-training devices in your area?

Sometimes another device’s signal, even if it’s not being used by TR, can cause things to get a bit sticky.

It looks to me like either your pedals or trainer are a bit slow to respond. I’d reset your trainer (unplug it for ~15 minutes), check the battery level in your pedals, ensure that you aren’t running a bunch of other apps on the device that you’re using to run TR, and turn off any other non-essential bluetooth devices in the area for your next workout just as a test to see if one is being a troublemaker.

The best way forward is to get your devices to track better. I wouldn’t mess with workout intensity if you don’t have to.

Let me know what you find!

I don’t think so, I mean it may have been a problem before and I only noticed when you looked at the unexpected prediction response to what I thought was a good workout.

I’ll have a check through and see in the next interval session.
