How can they offer this so cheaply?

I donāt disagree with that. The best of that type, usually go and do some further learnings. Not to learn techniques/methods, but to be able to better describe what the affects are of what they are prescribing.
I think the risk with ex-pros as coaches is that they themselves are typically fast responders with fantastic recovery, and might not fully understand how much average people struggle with accumulated load and recovery. Not saying that they canāt learn that, just that their experience of training (and that of their teammates etc) is likely quite different from a working 50 year old with kids.
