Double workout on Zwift

This still happens after a Zwift workout, I get the double workout at least one a week.

The AIFTP went up and even showing a yellow day because TR thinks I’m going to do the ride twice today, this being my deload week.

I did the workout as it showed up on Zwift but it didn’t sync with what was scheduled on the calendar.

Is there away to merge them to get on the calendar?

Are you, by chance, getting any ‘Connection Disconnected’ messages during your Zwift workouts, or having any issues with saving your workouts in Zwift (even if no on-screen issues are noted)? This same thing has happened to me a few times in the past. What I have noted when this happens, besides the Zwift ride not properly matching up with the TR workout, is that the ride in TR says ‘Bike’ underneath the map tile, instead of ‘Endurance 3.6’, or ‘Sweet Spot 2.9’, or whatever. So when I am seeing that yours says ‘Bike’ underneath, I’m guessing that there may have been some sort of issue during your Zwift ride.

My ‘solution’ to this (I use an iPad connected to the internet via WiFi) has been to toggle the WiFi off, and then back on, before actually saving the ride. This seems to work. :crossed_fingers: Also, have you checked your Zwift ride (in the TR app) to see if it’s actually matched to the workout? Of not, are you able to match it (and possibly resolve the yellow day situation)?

So for this last ride what I noticed is that the RPE survey didn’t come up at the end of the workout, I had to go to TR to answer it.

In the past I’ve had it where even with the Survey coming up at he end I still get the double trouble workout.

The workouts did match TR vs Zwift.

What sucks now is that TR is now giving me Cumberland -3 again. I think it thinks I skipped it the first time.

This workout was done on an IPad running Zwift

More likely it’s just adapted Vincent out as a result of how comfortably you knocked off Cumberland -3 :slightly_smiling_face:

Cumberland -3 was no sweat, even felt good just spinning the legs because I was a bit sore.

I just find it odd that TR would recommend the same workout back to back, I wasn’t sure if the double post on Tuesday caused it,

Are you force-quitting Zwift after every use (not just swiping it into the background)?

Normally I do close the window when done on the Ipad (swipe up to close it), when on PC I exit out of Zwift.

Also looking at the ride on my computer it look like TR didn’t associate the workout Cumberland -3 and I don’t know if I can do it on my end.

@eddie If you have time anyway you can look at this? Thanks.

I have a post on this but I too ran into a problem.

Yesterday I did Cumberland -3 on Zwift and got the double workout on the calendar after the ride.

TR is not associating the workout I did with Cumberland -3 and is now giving me the same workout again for Thursday.

This workout was done on Zwift using an Ipad.

Workout was sync to Zwift at the start but didn’t disappear when finished, also I didn’t get the RPE survey at the end of the workout.

That Cumberland -3 is no longer on your calendar for the 9th. Did you delete it?

Are you sure that it was populated after you did the workout on Zwift and that it wasn’t the original hanging around?

It is weird that the Zwift activity doesn’t have a TR on the bottom next to the Zwift and Strava logos..

The first screen shot is how it looked after the workout.

I deleted the duplicate later yesterday in hopes that things would merge and because is was then showing some yellow days for this week.

I noticed that TR didn’t associate my ride with Cumberland -3 this morning and was trying to find a way to manually link them.

I think this is why TR is giving me Cumberland -3 again for Thursday.

Thanks Eddie, the workout looks to be synced up to TR and somehow the prediction went up by 1 watt
Looks like TR wants Cumberland -3 again so I guess that’s what’s on the cards tomorrow.

I failed today’s workout (intensity), and put my plan down to balanced afterward. (I’d had a big bump in ftp and was getting a bit cocky lol). It has added an extra workout on today’s calendar … I will of course ignore it!

Your case here seems similar/the same as the others in this thread.

I’m working on figuring out what’s causing this issue with the team. :+1:

One think that I notice yesterday on Zwift at times it seem that when selecting the workout what the program does is copy’s the workout and saves it to your custom workout folder.

i wonder if what end up happening is that you ride the copy workout instead of the TR original and the copy is what gets sent back to TR.

going into the workout folder i had like five TR workouts in there.

I just don’t know what I could have done to make the copy.

If you run into another issue with workout associations, let me know. :+1:

I just looked at it now, I guess the copy will have the “(1)” next to the title so forget that idea

That still seems strange to me..

I reported this same issue in February…I gave up on trying TrainerRoad because it wasn’t associating any of my workouts done in Zwift correctly as TR workouts. I checked in with customer service last month and they said it’s still a known bug with no fix or timeline. I’d like to give TR a real try but seems unusable for me as intended with this bug.

For the most part I don’t get these double workouts all the times.

I want to say maybe twice a month and I’ve been doing most of my workouts on Zwift.

This last one was different in that TR didn’t associate the workout that I performed, Cumberland -3 with the ride on Zwift and I didn’t have a way to manually associate the ride.

I first thought it was the normal double workout until I took a closer look.

This was the first time this has happened to me.

Other than that the Zwift workout has been working fine and has been very usable.
