Yea I think running anything below 45mm exposes side wall a lot since they are so wide. Might have just been those goodyear tires tho too?
Yeah, I’ve had similar experiences
De minimis for all countries going away Aug 29th.
RIP R2, Bikeinn, Bike24
I think the US customers of the German bike shops are a very small minority. According to a quick search they represent only a few percents of the total sales. I am sure the shops will be just fine.
RIP for us is what I meant to say… ![]()
Just picked this up to build up with some spare parts, pretty great deal for a fantastic bike. They do have carbon ones and some Domane frames as well.
Just in case anyone is in the fence about these. I have the same set with a pair of ‘non official’ 45mm semi slicks mounted up to them. 2000km on everything from gravel roads to questionable single track. Zero flats ![]()
I use an aluminum Emonda as my trainer bike. It doubles as my travel bike when needed. I’ve owned it longer than any other bike.
Looks like it’s all gone
Probably for the best, as I was on the fence about it. I would note they had some Saturday night, then Sunday morning it was unavailable. But by Sunday afternoon they showed having 3.
The wheels are a combination they don’t sell separately, as they’re i9 hubs and 24 hole/spoke.
They also had (maybe still have) for a little less a lower spec kit with GX I think, and some DT350 with RaceFace rims.
I’m going to be looking for a trainer soon. Is REI 20% off sale usually the best deal for a kicker core?
I got a killer deal on mine, but that was around the time the UDH came out. They were on deep discount, so my bet is most of them are gone. I hope you get lucky and find one because I love mine!
Check any specialized stores you can find. My friend got a deal on a VERY gently used demo bike. Non UDH, previous gen red s-works for like 6k.
Spez demo’s at the Denver and Santa Cruz stores. Both are very helpful finding you a bike at other LBS
Do you mean the Specialized Experience Center in Boulder? That’s been closed for a few years now.
Yeah, it’s a shame. As a frequent visitor, it was a great place to rent bikes for a week or as a demo. The place was ALWAYS empty though.
That was the one . Been a while since I was there. Santa Cruz is still open. I was there few months back.
