Great price - I love mine.
cyclesports and performance bikes still have some sizes sworks epic 8 framesets at $3999
Sad times when a 4k frameset is a good deal
True, but comes with a fork! Epic evo frameset going for $2400ish
Syntace torque tool (by Wera) now 79€ at r2-bike.
You are so right about Lauf.
Price is only an issue in the absence of value.
Lauf has sales on their bikes. First time I’ve ever seen them discounted
Wonder if there’s something new on the way, or if sales broadly are struggling. There seem to be some good deals out there
I kinda want to get a Lauf now
I have the lauf true grit, seigla, and üthald. Love them all. Their MTB is more bike than I need for the limited MTBing I need and for my limited MTB skills.
@TooManyDogs how is the Uthald? Have you ridden other similar (endurance?) bikes that you can compare it to?
I noticed that Lauf no longer sells the Seigla Weekend Warrior Wireless (SRAM Rival XLPR). They sell Apex, then the next couple of models are different levels of Transmission, and the top model is the new SRAM Red XPLR 13-speed.
Indicates to me that something new is coming and they are trying to clear out some stock….most likely bikes with the new Force groups, or mullet variations of it.
There are pics of Force E1 out there so maybe before summer? Maybe we get lucky and they do Rival at the same time.
In the wild or are you talking about the pictures we have seen a few weeks ago from a catalog/marketing/media type thing?
A little bird at a specialized dealer told me something exciting was coming in ~May.
Road, MTB, or gravel?
Hard to guess at this point, at this time pre TDF most likely would be an Aero bike. I cant see what else “exciting” they could release
The context of the conversation was sram drivetrains for road and gravel… but they wouldn’t give more than to wait on the two builds (tarmac, crux) I’m considering /shrug
In this case trickle down E1 force/rival is the most likely bet
Timing would also coincide with Unbound….and the end of the Giro.
