Was checking out the sale at Planet Cyclery (bought the GRX810 shifters), and left something in my cart. They sent me a reminder email…

Slooowwww

Hysterical(ly triggered)!

incycle have some decent deals on s-works gravel/mtb lace and boa. (performance bike still have the best lace price I think but incycle have some more interesting colors). No easy way for me to see what sizes and colors are still in stuck though.

Not a screaming deal, but still, 14%. And if you have purchased some gift cards 10% off, then you can combine.

4th sales so far are pretty lame :frowning:

Agreed. The “up to __% off” sales are the worst. At least for me, the stuff I’d buy isn’t on sale, but a random set of MTB gloves that have been on the shelf for 2 years is 30% off.

Rumor has it, best to wait til November.

Currently everything is over priced. If there’s not a minimum of 25% off I don’t even look at it.

ooh tempting I accidentally (and was fine with it) let my early pricing lapse on BBS when a card expired during a period I wasn’t racing but was tempted to try it again for a race next week.

Anyone know if they have gravel type estimating stuff now? interested in doing a 15 mile off road up hill TT in a few months and would be fun to crunch numbers.

Hunt always well seems to have various deals going on so maybe this is just regular price but $150 their 50 carbon disc wheelset.

I keep considering them. Not sure about the hubs though.

I got one too. Maybe the group can let us know if they spot a left sided shifter on sale!

That’s always been what’s kept me from hunt. I believe they use novatec? Not terrible by any means but way better options for the price. For the same price, a few years ago I bought some Roval Terra’s for like $700 with 350 (maybe 370? Is that a thing) hubs. Far from the lightest but they’ve done 2 seasons of cx and various gravel races without a hiccup.

I know they did use novatec. Not sure if that’s changed. I know their hubs are supposedly super loud. lol but I’ll still consider them. I don’t NEED carbon wheels but just keeping an eye out for deals

My LBS steered me away from Hunt do to repair issues. Hard to do with the nice pricing though.

Hard to repair? How so? I haven’t needed to repair mine. I have repaired two sets of enve wheels and are more difficult due to the inverted nipples.

Hunts should be fine to work on if you need to.

Ha how convenient that an LBS says you shouldn’t buy from direct to consumer brands.

There are legit pros/cons of direct to consumer vs normal retail channels but not sure I’d trust LBS to have an unbiased take

Really depends on the LBS. Both Tenafly Pro Bicycle Workshop (Tenafly, NJ) and Mack Cycle & Fitness (Miami, FL) have my complete and utter trust that they’ll give me what they believe is the best advice for ME. Hence, they get lots of my money, but they also tell me not to buy or to buy elsewhere.

Plenty of LBS are shady or awful. Others are awesome.

And how a normal person knows which is which is the impossible part.
