Yes, my sweat does cause unintentional taps on the touch screen. I just have to tap it again to get back to where I was, so it’s not really a big deal. Once time, my sweat dripped on two separate fields on one of my data screens which caused them to swap places. Again, not really a big deal once I realized what happened.

Not a deal per say, but since it was mentioned above, wanted to share that I reached out to BTD last week about resetting my Gold Express deals since I’ve changed bikes and now would prefer to see different deals than I was looking for previously. It took a few days and a screenshot to find someone who even knew what the Gold Express deals were, but once they did, they told me there is no way to reset it, but they’ll look into it for future enhancements. So…be careful what deals you give the thumbs up or down. You can’t ever reverse that decision.

Am I correct that all BTD Gold Express have access to the same daily deals. However, you only see a somewhat personalized snapshot of 8 of them when you click on the daily gold deals. Or put another way, if your 8 daily gold deals show you a Park Tool Wiget 4, even though I may not see that in my 8 daily deals, if I searched for that tool, I would be offered the same gold price?

Yeah, it took a bit to figure out that in customer support they don’t see the same screens the customers see. They did admit they learned from the experience after I sent them a screenshot. Hopefully they updated their scripts so the next time someone asks it’s a simple response for them. I don’t mind being first if it helps them improve!

No I don’t think so. A while back people posted a good deal on a Red group or Enve Foundation wheels and I looked them up and had a different price despite having gold as well.

A few times someone posted a GE deal but when I checked the items, they where full price for me. Similarly, I have seen deals that other gold members don’t get.

Yeah, I never saw that Red deal.
Do we actually know that the arrows do anything? The rest of the site seems pretty unsophisticated so I wouldn’t be surprised if they record the responses and then do nothing with the data or use them in a really coarse way (X product got a lot of votes the other day, buy more next order!)

Good point. It’s definitely not very intelligent. I’ve downvoted several Castelli and Pearl Izumi items and it still shows me products from those brands frequently.

Two days ago I checked the Giro Spherical Aries MIPS on BTD and today it showed up in my gold express deals. Did anyone else get this deal?
None of the others are related to my searches or preferences tho.
Gero Spherical MIPs: I didn’t get that deal in my 8 for the day. But when I searched for it, I had a Gold Deals on several models of them.

Yeah, if I go to “all sale items” there’s a bunch of gold deals that are not in the my 8 of the day.
I guess it’s true that there’s a large batch and maybe the 8 is just to collect aggregate preferences. I’m not sure if there’s any personalization…

I’ve got deals that they called “that’s the gold member price” on stuff that wasn’t currently on sale, they matched previous deals for me no issues
