PAS Normal Studios sale : Index - Pas Normal Studios
That’s a great point. My experience with PNS sizing hasn’t been great. Their stuff has been wayyy smaller than other brands. I typically wear small or medium depending on the model in rapha and a medium in PNS jersey was like a child’s kit. Couldn’t zip and the length was well above my belly button. ![]()
If you know why some folks won’t wear PNS clothing, “smaller than normal PNS sizing” is quite amusing.
Canyon, Fezzari, and Brands Cycling are all having Labor Day related sales (at least in the US)
Can you enlighten those of us that don’t know?
Edit: a bit of googling turned up comments about not wanting to ride around with PNS in their backs. Add an E and an I and you get penis. I will now never get this connection out of my head.
Dang some good stuff over that at BrandsCycle - too bad they won’t ship the sale bikes!
They don’t ship any bikes, as best I can tell. Also, they have the 2023 Giant Revolt Advanced 1 on sale, but not the 2022. I called and asked them about it and the sales rep said the sale does not apply to that model.
If it did I probably would drive up there!!
I’ve been looking at the Revolt. Why do you prefer the 2022 model?
@dubrose40 the 2022 Giant Revolt Advanced 1 has the SRAM Rival XPLR 1x drivetrain whereas the 2023 is Rival 1x mechanical. I want the electronic shifting. I also like the green color way better than the cordovan.
Now, there are some things on the 2022 model I don’t like / would change immediately.
- Rear rotor is 140 mm. I would add an adapter to make it 160 mm so I could swap wheels more easily between bikes.
- 2022 model comes with a dropper. I have no need for it and would sell it.
- Seat tube crack issue, but that doesn’t seem to occur if using a round seatpost. I’d swap to a Whiskey No 7 carbon (30.9 mm).
If I could get it for under $3k I’d go for it. At $3500 I think the Lauf Seigla Weekend Warrior Wireless is better value for money (for me), and I don’t think I’ll be doing such technical riding that the slight geometry differences and higher bottom bracket make that much of a difference.
Cervelo ZHT-5 hardtail framesets 1200€ (50% off) at komking.de in Germany.
I love my Seigla. I understand some people have specific wants like a lower bottom bracket but I’d need to ride 2 bikes back to back to feel the difference. But I’m also not a particularly aggressive rider so I don’t know that I’d notice these differences
- Is this site reputable/legit?
- Do we think the major discount means a new model coming out?
- Does anyone know if these guys ship to US? This is extremely tempting.
@wfenwick I have no personal experiences of the shop.
Voler is having their end of summer sale, 20-50% off, no code needed.
I’m usually a black/navy-bib-only kind of person, but the camo bibs are so fun. If they were on a better sale I would have to get them lol
Ventum has the previous generation GS1 and NS1 frames on clearance - $1,100
