BikeCloset has this for $850 - keep in mind this is for the pre-2023 version.
Wonder if you could use this on a TT bike with rim brakes…
just have the blips?
you would need a blip box if running wired blips, or you could buy wireless blips and use the force levers to pair them.
Their bibs are good for the price. Pretty comfortable and I have done 30-40 mile rides on them without issue. The fabric is bit heavy than some of the higher prices brands, so I tend to use them in spring/fall. I stick to sportful/castelli for hotter weather.
For me, neopro really shines with their newer line of jerseys. Super comfortable, light, and pretty well made imo.
I finally got my powrlink pedals from this deal and had my first Speedplay riding experience today, over the course of 57 miles. I am happy to say that so far I actually like them very much. Could do with less clip in force, but otherwise no issues and the float feels great.
Yes Mate, they are sold just down the road from me in Australia. They are a solid entry-level product. Bibs are sound I’ve worn them up to 6hrs without issue. Like everythign you get what you pay for but these are a standout in that price range.
The new tops are fantastic for the price i highly rate them. Again for the price point, they punch well above their weight.
They are getting a solid user base here in OZ if that helps.
Try backing the 4 mounting screws off just a fraction…less than 1/8 of turn. Helped my cleats immensely.
NeoPro has so much potential. Good looking stuff, good price point for the quality. BUT…unisex sizing. And, surprise, that doesn’t mean they expect men to wear lady-shaped kit. Other way around of course. I bought two jerseys from them, wasn’t paying attention re: unisex, and when they arrived I was so disappointed that I’d received two long sausage casings. I’m 5’ 10", ~155lbs and pretty, uh, slender on my top half. I can sometimes wear men’s jerseys and I still couldn’t make them work.
Hmm, I really like my unisex Gobik jerseys (work better than women’s for my long torso), but they are intended to be quit form-fitting on everyone so that may be why they seem to ‘hug’ correctly.
Just want to second this. The pressure it takes to clip in is adjusted on the cleat, not the pedal
Yes, I have already spent a good bit of time playing around with the tightening torque on the little bolts. It’s pretty good now even though tighter than I am used, but one side on the right pedal is a tighter clip than the others. Hoping it wears in a bit. No issues with releasing, very smooth so far.
Did you try a dab of lube on the cleats, as well?
I prefer the spray on dry lubes. Keeps dirt from sticking to the greasier stuff.
Yep. I actually even had the Speedplay branded lube around. I bought it a while back it for my very squeaky Garmin Rally XC.
Looks like Tarmac SL7s are on sale (over $1k for some trims) to clear out for SL8s.
Are the 8’s BETTER or just newer?
Both.
It can sniff speed.
