OK, while completely ridiculous that thing is actually pretty impressive. Note the secondary, mid-drivetrain derailleur to help with chain tension!

My old neighborhood had a similar type bike, taller I think, with some sort of pedal assist motor. He was always riding around the neighborhood on that or some other weird motorized thing he had built up.

They talked about the Lauf price drops on the latest Geek Squad podcast. There are some smoking deals there. The rigid bike with full Force AXS and carbon wheels is $4K. By comparison, a Force AXS Crux is $8K. Not wholly apples to apples, but still a smoking good deal.

@FrankTuna thanks! Yes, I’m still very much considering / debating the Seigla and Revolt. Canyon has taken itself out of the running by not having any Grizl’s in my size in stock. My other thread generated a lot of good ideas, including a titanium frame, that I hadn’t considered before but I keep coming back to these two bikes. Coincidentally I drove past Harrisonburg, VA this afternoon on my way to a college graduation this weekend. I was soooooooooooo tempted to pull of and find the new Lauf warehouse and just pick up a bike (I know they don’t actually do that … yet). In the Lauf Owners Facebook group they said they will eventually have demo models for people to try, though. Anyway, now I’m way off topic - thanks for the shout out!

Mine showed up today…crazy fast delivery.
But holy hell is that thing heavy!!! It is gonna sit in my living room for a week or so until my bruised ribs heal some more.

Are you looking for one? PM me, if so. I’ve got one sitting in my workout room I bought in October/November 2022 that I used for a week and haven’t used since - no issues at all other than I don’t use it. I don’t do facebook/social media, so my attempts at selling it have been half hearted.

Westernbikeworks.com has a Mother’s Day Sale that seems to apply pretty solid discounts on most items. I had a few items in my cart from earlier this week that were all full price so I left then in there and today they marked down about 25%. Rather than just one item, everything in my cart was discounted.

I just came to post the same. I had meant to buy a few little things earlier this week but got busy. Went to complete it today and found they were all cheaper. Needless to say I then used those savings to buy more things…the struggle is real

It’s a good case for a rocker plate or even the Saris MP-1 platform.
Yeah, all of Saris’ stuff is heavy… even their old Cycleops trainers were, but most of their gear is bombproof. Maybe literally, lol?
