Does anyone have a lead on a good deal for Ultegra or Dura Ace pedals?

Also, for anyone near San Diego, 100% is having a warehouse sale this Friday and Saturday.

Yep, check those expiration dates…

I did that last year

I know people will be concerned about the expire dates

In regards to the SIS Gels here is what I have found (YMMV) - those that I have kept in a cool location and are expired for 6-9 month are still perfect (some expired March of 2022, the other May 2022)

a box from a November 2021 batch that I left in my car over the summer got a lumpier texture (think Maurten). It was late August or September and I wasn’t expecting the lumps and it surprised me to the point I spit it out during the ride. I have thrown these out as I don’t like the texture (kind of freaks me out).

I assume it was the summer heat that cooked them, but will continue though the rest of what I bought last year till they are gone (unless they get lumps)

Yea I’m not too worried about the expiration dates to be honest. That’s why I stocked up. These should last me through the end of next year.

Also picked up some Powerblock adjustable DBs for $290 on Woot. Best price I’d seen.

I had the lumpy texture on some that I ordered a couple weeks ago, set to expire Dec 22!

It upset my stomach and I emailed them - they sent me a new box, so we’ll see

That should be Maurten’s new sales pitch to accurately describe the texture of their gels: ā€œcomparable to expired gels that have been left in a hot car!ā€

This trainer is now $318.94 at Merlin Cycles. Again, I think it’s identical to the Jetblack Volt and Zwift Hub.

You should be well equipped for Disaster +1!

Seems like consensus is it’s a JetBlack Volt but with zero software support and a number of firmware bugs.

There’s something similar branded as XPlova and the reviews on Wiggle/CRC say similar things about firmware support (even though that one has the Lifeline and Acer brands behind it).

I might be willing to take that risk at Ā£150 but not Ā£300, even though that’s a great price for a JB Volt.

Random question - but do you recall who it was delivered by? I’m showing a Fedex package from COPE SERVICES INC awaiting pickup, but haven’t gotten an order dispatch or phone call for the KICKR Bike I bought on Monday in the big sale…

Thanks!

It was Fedex Freight, but beyond that I honestly don’t remember. I think they contract with local or regional delivery folks, so likely they use a lot of different people. Keep following the tracking. I suspect it will get sorted out by next week, but if you don’t hear anything call Fedex and they can probably get you in touch with the regional shipper.

Thanks! I ordered on Monday and was hoping it might go out before the weekend as it sounds like they only ship Monday/Wednesday/Friday.

Thanks! I was due for a new tub, perfect timing!

Damn. I just bought two yesterday. Oops.

Makes it about the same as GNC (with autoship), which is usually significantly cheaper than Amazon.

Don’t forget to use a shopping portal for another couple of % cash back.

Not necessarily a ā€œdealā€, but Shimano just went direct in the US. The bike world is changing so fast.
