Deals / Sales / Discounts for Cycling "Stuff" (2018-2022)

I know the quick answer is no, but do they scratch the paint or leave marks (rings or dents) with use?

I am doing my best to baby my 2020 midlife crisis/dad mobile that has an aero kit on it (so no hitch)

Same with my Scalpel. Had one pre-ordered in Feb, hand one come into the shop in April and they didn’t call me about it. “Oh it wasn’t the color you ordered.”

Dude, You have over $6k of my money, never occurred to you to at least ASK if I was open to a different color? Spoiler I was, and I did take the Orange & Grey fade, vs the straight up black and so it was named Syndrome (You Got Me Monologuing ! )

sounds like a corvette.

Most important with vacuum cup racks is to make sure the mounting surface is clean, dry and free of debris. It is best for keeping the sealing edges of the pad functioning as intended, and also reduces the risk of scratches to the surface.

The pads are a color-safe material meant for the application, but it’s worthwhile to keep up the polish on your paint to minimize risk of wear to that coating with repeated use.

Bahahah I feel your pain. My dealer does not do pre orders and never did prior to covid. I just happened to see an Epic Evo expert in large one day and snagged it. Had it sent to my dealer so he got some credit.

We rented my wife a Turbo Creo Evo in Boulder and they had a gorgeous Epic Evo in the shop. It was all I could do to not ask them to ship it. I was lucky my wife was with me.

Back to deals does anyone else find SIS end of Tour sale being 20% off very weak? I checked for some more beta fuel powder and it was all Sold Out.

Now that they have jacked their 30 pack of gels up from 50 to 65 dollars US 20% off doesn’t even get you back to the original full price. I have moved on from SIS since the increase and have really enjoyed the cliff blocks. On sale you can get them for about 1 dollar per serving which is less than half the cost of an sis gel.

I wipe the car down with a wet cloth before applying. No dents or scratches that I could see.

Like most other online retailers, they tweak prices, and allot a limited inventory to the sale. Beta Fuel will be back, but likely not until after the sale is over.

I’ve done up to a 12 hour road trip in mine and speeds up to 100mph with no issues.

I was really paranoid at first, pulling over and checking every half hour but now I don’t even think twice about them. Like Chad said, as long as the suction cups and roof are both clean and free of dust before you put them on, should be no issues. I’ve had them on a few different cars, including my own forever car that I intend on keeping minty fresh. Not sure if necessary, but I try and put that one on the moonroof (glass) to avoid any potential paint issues, though like I said I’ve never had issues in the past.

I almost got a roof mount a while back but just for that one issue I purchased a One Up USA Equip D. Been very happy and it is bomb proof.

I drove 5 hours each way Philly to Richmond and back with a SeaSucker and two mountain bikes on the roof. It went completely fine.

Car was a 2002 Miata with a hardtop, going between 70 and 80. Fitting the front wheels into the passenger seat was probably the biggest challenge

My Super Clamp EX 2-Bike rack showed up in 2 days (literally 5 minutes after I had left for Indy with my old rack :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)…got it set-up on Sunday and it is awesome.

I had a a little 1Up envy down at the Dustbowl 100, but once I got the Saris installed, I got over it…especially for the price.

Seasuckers seem like they shouldnt work, but theyre damn good. Buddy of mine just did a cross country trip with a roof-box attached to the top of his R8 with seasuckers…and he drove like youd want to if you had a R8 to go cross country in! Over 100mph and the box was still there at the end of the trip.

Without diving into great detail, my day job is directly related to the core of their product. In fact, Seasucker used to be our customer for all the vacuum cup parts when they started many years ago. I am a vacuum cup designer and have tested just about every variation available through the world. The power of vacuum is quite impressive and capable.
