Hey guys. I have a job that requires visiting cycling hot spots for work. Coming up, I have Canary Islands, Cape Town, Sardinia and Majorca. What I tend to do on these trips is turn them into a semi cycling camp. I take extra time off work whilst on these trips, so I end up with something like this:
Work day + 1-2 hour ride
3-5 hour ride
Work day + 1-2 hour ride
Work day + 1-2 hour ride
3-5 hour ride
Some more context, I’m a travel photographer/film maker and the work I do requires around 15-20kms of walking per day with heavy kit, so its quite fatiguing.
How would I go about scheduling these trips into my plan so that the plan can adapt around them? I’m wanting to get maximum gains out of these trips, even if it means that I don’t actually lose fitness.
