Coming Soon: Updated Training Approach :person_mountain_biking:t2:

More flexibility for your training plan

When a training plan isn’t flexible enough, workouts can quickly become unrealistic. Sessions start to feel impossible, consistency breaks down, and fitness begins to slip.

Many athletes struggle because their plan isn’t adjusting to their abilities. Some training zones feel too hard, others feel too easy, and the overall workload no longer matches what life and recovery allow.

TrainerRoad’s AI updated Training Approach solves this by letting you adjust overall training demand and zone-specific difficulty, while automatically selecting the right workouts to keep you progressing.

How the Updated Training Approach Works

:downwards_button: Turn It Down

Reduce training demand when life is busy, recovery is limited, or your goal is simply to maintain fitness while staying consistent.

:upwards_button: Turn It Up

Increase training demand when you have more time to train and recover to make your training harder and get some extra gains.

:bullseye: Training Zones

Fine-tune difficulty by training zone so TrainerRoad AI pushes harder where you want gains and eases back where workouts feel overwhelming.

What Athletes Are Saying

We’ve been testing it with real athletes and their feedback has been amazing.

There’s so much more to it, including the ability to predict your FTP in the future, a feature that predicts fatigue long before it happens so you can avoid burnout, and a new way of managing zone 2 training, so stay tuned as we share more details leading up to launch day, and sign up now at TrainerRoad.com to be ready to use TrainerRoad AI as soon as it launches.

Hi,
Will we have a choice to upgrade or NOT upgrade?

Maybe it’s just the way my phone displays emojis, but there’s an up arrow for ā€˜turn it down’ and a down arrow for ā€˜turn it up’

Is there a way for threshold and below to have TR extend intervals instead of making them more intensive?

Countdown is started ! :wink::stopwatch:

This would be fantastic. I’d also love to be able to say ā€œgive me a Sweet Spot blockā€ (or Threshold or VO2)

Be interesting to see what this is now, honestly i went on a TR plan last year to do 2 peaks/two A races(little sugar and SBT) and TR put me on waaaay too few hours IMHO. I’m a 10-15 houra week athlete with decades of expereince racing and training and TR put me on basiclly a time crunched 5-8 hour a week plan. I tried it for SBT and was underwhelmed and jsut basically suplimemted the work they perscribed with my own workouts. I even reached out to TR CS and they really could not explain what to do even though i know i would loose fitness dropping to 5-8 hours a week.

That’s a champagne glass I’m guessing . If so it is correct . If it’s arrows they caught everyone’s attention

Dear TR team

This is the 3rd or 4th email I’ve had from you about the upcoming changes. I get that it’s big but

a) I’m already a member, so asking me to sign up now so I don’t miss out is useless - wrong audience

b) I want to know what new features you’re bringing out so I’m subscribed to email updates, but this is too many emails about the same thing.
