Okay, so just about to finish up a solid 4 month coach built base plan and thinking about giving the AI a try for the build into my races. Got super solid fitness after 4 cycles of 3 weeks on one off. CTL in the 90s and tsb will be hella negative on sunday. Next week will be a recovery week.
When should I turn on TR?
If i turn it on monday morning, will it realize i need an easy week?
If i turn it on the monday after the easy week will it be ready ramp up the intensity for my key races 6-8 weeks out?
Just dont know how much learning it has to do when coming from a solid foundation.
Thanks
In my experience it will “turn on” the day you start the program. So if you need a recovery week you should delay until you want to start Day 1. For me it always start with Base Phase, which sounds like you are done with. Maybe someone knows a work around of how to start mid-plan, but I don’t think AI recognizes past phases of training.
Hey @BillyWaldman
I would play with the start date of the plan (set it to the original date you started your Base Phase) so the plan knows you have completed that part. TR plans follow a natural transition of Base>>Build>>Specialty phases, so if you don’t back track it, it may have you start with a Base Phase.
Keep in mind that our plans have a 3:1 ratio training weeks. 3 weeks of training + 1 week of recovery. So when backtracking the date this can help pick the “start date” so you land on a Base Recovery Week or the start of the Build Phase, depending on what you’d prefer.
