Can you view Trainer Road Plans without a membership?

I thought you could, there was an old post saying you can. But every time I try, it just takes me to the sign up page. I’ve been a member before, thinking about signing up again, but I just want to see what the plans are!

Things have changed a lot over the years. It’s all AI now, so there are no longer static plans. The plan you see today could be completely different tomorrow based on how you respond and rate your next workout.

Yep. That’s one thing I don’t like about TR compared to other apps. You’re completely locked out without a paid subscription. You can’t see workouts, plans, or even your old data.

I thought there was a 30 day trial?

No. They offer a 30-day refund option. I don’t think they offered a ‘trial’ at any time, but I could be mistaken.

For what it’s worth, the plan builder tool is pretty good, it starts with blocks like most traditional training plans have, but it evolves with every workout. I like it because life happens, and then it automatically adjusts

Didn’t there used to be some kind of 30 day code or something that we could give friends? I feel like a long time ago people used to always come on here begging for codes. Might be thinking of a different app though…

You’re not wrong - finished a few years ago though.

Nope, TR had a referral code program for a while. Not sure why it got removed but I remember handing out codes to a couple friends over the years.

There was a referral program but it got nuked long enough ago that I don’t remember the details. I think it was different than an open trial at least in the sense that each member had only a limited number to share. Regardless, it is a dead program and the only thing remaining is the 30D refund option.

AFAIK, you can only use the 30 day refund when first opening an account. If you already have a dormant account, there is no access at all until you start paying again, and there’s no 30 day refund at that point. Just sayin’ how it is. It does mostly make sense wrt TR making money. There may be a few who bail on the platform because of that.

Hello

@brianngo, can you link the post?

As @Pbase mentioned, the plans are dynamic and change as you complete workouts, which has been like that for a few years now even without the AI.

We do a 30-day money back guarantee. See more details here:

Here is more info on the updates as well:

Yes, true enough, but that doesn’t preclude showing what nominal plans are like with the proviso that they will change to some degree depending on compliance and progress.

I see your point. But, even how plans are built right now we don’t show you exact workouts to be followed when we show a plan preview. Instead we list out what workouts you’ll be completing, ex: SS, Threshold, Endurance, etc…and the Phases. Once the plan is applied to the Calendar the AI Window generates specific workouts for the athlete within those categories.

However, we have info on how we build the plans:
