With the update it appears the AI will alter the workout levels based on rest or pauses in the workout, I agree with this. But it will also do this based on time outside of the original workout. I.e. if you add 30 min on to the beginning of a workout to extend the warmup, hop off for water, food, bathroom before the orginal workout begins (ex. @ 25 min), it will intruptep this as time off during the workout, and thus drop the workout level, regardless if the workout is completed as intended. I believe this should be addressed and fixed.
If you add time to the beginning or the end of the workout, it will not drop the level. Rather, it will increase it. I do this for nearly every workout, adding at least 30 minutes in the beginning and one to two hours after. My workout levels are always higher than the original. This even included a couple quick hop off the bike during the extended warmup
Interesting result, my experience is different. I also typically extend on both sides of the workout Carhoo is typically a level 9.0. Added 30 min, stepped off prior to “the original workout” and had to cut the extension short in this example. Dropped to 8.6. Regardless, it appears it is not evaluating the workout levels consistently between us. Perhaps I’m splitting hairs over this, but I often make manual adjustments to my workout schedule and use the workout levels to increase intensity through the power zone during a training block. If TR is dropping the workout levels when it’s not needed it will make the ability to judge your past efforts much more difficult.
