I just use two concrete blocks stacked vertically. Computer on top, can put other stuff in the holes below. Been using this or similar setup for trainer for years. Don’t think it’s the best, but it’s certainly cheap. Probably second to the Wiggle boxes.
I bought this a couple of weeks ago after I saw a DC Rainmaker review and it is absolutely great! Some of the best money I’ve ever spent. It is sturdy and it was easy to assemble. This desk allows me to put my tablet right in front of me, while still allowing me to look over it at my TV. It easily holds a couple of water bottles, carbs, cell phone, remotes, and much more if you want, all while allowing easy access while riding.
Does it extend any higher?
No thats its highest. I was worried it would be a bit low but i think it puts the screen at the perfect height. I think most people have their screens too high
The Wahoo Kickr Core now comes with a free desk…well sort of.
I’m finally allowed in the house so bought a silent trainer.
Gorilla stand in ebay for £20 free shipping, 40 cm x 50 cm table top.!
I’m doing the same thing with my box ha
I was looking at this exact thing. I also work from home and think it’d be nice to have a small standing desk so I don’t have to always be sitting while I work on my laptop. How has it been working for you? Can you get the stand close enough to your bike? Is it sturdy enough? Thanks!
Hey Andy. It’s been working perfect for me and my wife. I have my bike on a rocker plate and it goes high enough for that too. It isn’t the most sturdy thing in the world though so for heavy use as a standing desk I think there is better options. Use for a laptop while riding it’s perfect though.
Got the tip from Dcrainmaker…had the mic stand, added the ipad holder(from IKMultimedia). Then added the tiny table.
I like that I can have it off to the side and close to my fingers. Doesn’t obstruct the TV view…
I ended up just getting the Lifeline table from Wiggle. It is so much better but really unnecessary compared to the awesome box.
How about a build it from scratch effort?
F3D if anyone wants the cut list: IndoorCyclingDesk v5.f3d
My workstand does double duty as a phone, remote, and sweat towel holder. Phone goes on a magnetic mount that’s originally for a car dashboard, tv remote goes in a flower pot made to hook on a wall. I’ve been eyeing up one of those Lifeline tables though…
I’d highly recommend a tablet (most ppl likely have sitting around the house) and a simple ipad/music stand. I grabbed a stand a month ago and LOVE it. It was about $25. I set it a bit lower than my handle bars and have my Bluetooth earbuds on watching a movie on a tv. This is great as the tablet isn’t in the way of tv.
I like it too! OEMTOOLS 24616 29 Inch Portable Tear-Down Tray is a great choice. Convenient and handy! It’s on the list of Best Portable Workbenches on Wheels Under $130

I use something very similar to this - https://www.amazon.com/Seville-Classics-Mobile-Computer-Height-Adjustable/dp/B0097GMHXG/ref=sr_1_25?crid=3V4BLZFTG7AMV&dchild=1&keywords=rolling+table+cart&qid=1614369093&sprefix=rolling+table+cart%2Caps%2C214&sr=8-25
Only issue it the table space - sometimes I have to put a bottle or two on the ground and stop during the workout. I can fit a laptop, water bottle, coffee mug and phone on it. Works great. I put down some shelf liner non-slip surface on it.
A new product that’s on the market for $50:
You have to adjust your fan position and the desk is a tad wobbly but it’s a pretty great solution at a 5th of the cost.
