The bearings on my rear wheel have gone. They are Giant SLR2 (SLR 2 36 Disc Wheelsystem | Giant Bicycles UK).
I’m considering replacing them myself and have watched a video or two on it.
I have the tools for removing the rotor and loosening the rear cassette. And I see I need a bearing press kit for 6902-2rs bearings. But it specifically needs an over axle adapter.
Does anyone have recommendations for a suitable kit? UK-based if that makes any difference.
I have the Wheels Manufacturing Pro kit. I got it 6 years ago and looking it’s gone up in price quite a bit (I think I paid a little less than $200). It’s an bit overkill since it a has a multitude of different spacers cups and drifts for every size bearing. The bearing press itself is nice and easy to use and seems really well made. It looks like you can just the press for $45 from bike in and then you could order the specific over axel and open bore parts you need right from wheels manufacturing
