I switched to using the Wheels Manufacturing thread together BBs, as someone else mentioned, in the Cannondales I’ve owned and it solved my creaking problems. I did have to get new cranks though, but I didn’t get a guici pair of SRAM GXP-spindle cranks so it wasn’t so bad.

You can forget that. Don’t think the internal cable routing will be happy

Someone mentioned chainring bolts. Double/triple check those. Make sure they are cleaned and greased properly. Lots of issues where people think its crank and its actually those.

Big vote for BBInfinite. Huge upgrade in every way. I’m baffled that more people don’t use them. I have them on 5 different bikes with never a creak or other problem

That is for their highest level ceramic bearings, akin to CeramicSpeed stuff. Their steel bearings are 35% cheaper

Aha! So they tried to ‘up sell’ me :joy: Can’t blame them for offering their highest quality item I guess.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe BB30a issues will never be fixed, because too strict tolerances aside, it’s the frame that squeeks and cracks due to the fact that they drill from both sides halfway, causing vertical shift, giving room to wiggle for the crank however you fit it in and however …
