AT confused after changing plan days?

Hi there,

I’m wondering if AT is a bit confused or will it sort itself out? I’m doing the LV Sprint Tri plan and a week ago did my first A race of the season (I’m in Australia so it’s full summer here now). I’ve just finished a recovery week and tomorrow start a build phase.

I wanted to change my training days so did a plan change - “Edit weekly schedule” - expecting just the days to change, but I’m pretty sure the workouts have changed too.

For example, the build phase is mostly VO2 and Threshold workouts. After the recent FTP increase my current PLs are 3.3 for Threshold and 5.6 for VO2. But next week TR has scheduled in a VO2 ride at level 3.8 (Achievable) and a Threshold ride at 5.0 (Stretch).

Does this seem a bit unusual? I was wondering if it would adjust nearer the time but they haven’t changed at all and the VO2 ride is tomorrow!

Update if anyone else has the same question: TR did fix itself and a couple of adaptations were waiting for me this morning :wink:

The VO2 session is now up to level 6.8 and the threshold down to level 3.6.

Adaptive Training won’t always reach over into the next phase to adapt those workouts ahead of time, so if you’re ever looking ahead to the next phase, take those workouts with a grain of salt, as they likely won’t adapt until you’re in that phase.
