Anytime I See Gamma I Assume It Means Super Powers

I just noticed this on a package of black Jasmine rice. I have never heard of this before, but anytime I hear of gamma I assume it will lead to developing superpowers or immediate death by radiation. Anyone know what on earth this actually means?

A quick look on Google and Wikipedia reveals that it is a compound of rice bran oil used in Japan to treat high cholesterol, GI upset, menopausal symptoms, etc. It’s been used as a sport supplement, but seems to have no effect per the above references.

If it comes with a giant warning label it must make you faster…that’s how science works, right? :cowboy_hat_face:

It’s a natural component of rice bran oil. The California warning probably has to do with the miniscule amt of agricultural chemicals used in growing the rice.
