Any whoop users here? Generally I really like it but I woke up this morning at 5:30am with a recovery score of 71%, went back to bed for a couple of hours and adjusted my app to say I woke up at 7:30 and my recovery score went down to 62%. How does having 2 extra hours sleep make any sense to give me a worse recovery score?
a quick search shows that there are multiple threads already open regarding Whoop. You might want to check them out, specifically this one:

As @KlemenSj noted, definitely check out the other threads for more info but I think I can provide a direct answer to your question.
The Whoop takes it’s measurement from the final phases of sleep, X amount of time before you wake up. So, if you wake up and go back to sleep for a couple hours but that sleep never gets very deep it can throw off the measurement of your recovery.
