ah thank you everyone!!

forgot glasses and garmin…I guess chargers. yeah I might as well bring my helmet and saddle.

this trip is not gonna be bike focused so I am only gonna get in a day or two of riding…and we’ll be in two different hotels. otherwise I’d just bring my bike. :frowning: I don’t wanna miss riding at least some though. i’m sure I’ll circle back some day.

I bring me own saddle for the comfort on long rides

Just wondering how many cases you take :joy:

Har, yeah, right? I never take everything that’s on that list, only the items appropriate for the specific trip I’ll be taking. Sometimes it’s just a carry on, and sometimes it’s a checked bag. I do take trips where I pack my bike too, but that’s a different list.

In my experience (rented bikes twice from Bike Hire Mallorca in Port de Pollenca) - hire bikes have come with a saddlebag with tube/tools/patches/pump. I’ve brought kit, shoes, (power meter) pedals, computer, helmet (for my big dumb head), and nutrition (for my targeted effort on Sa Calobra - the rest I just bought from bike shop/grocery). I rode a SuperSix Evo on the first trip two years ago, and a Scott Foil this year. Rented an Addict for my wife.

Also, fwiw: my wife - a comparatively newer cyclist - was riding with me for the first time in Mallorca this year, and we booked a shuttle from Port de Pollenca to the Repsol in Lluc, so she could have the best possible experience on Sa Calobra, without anxiety of climbing Col de Femenia and a long ride to even get to the top of Col de Reis. Highly recommend if you’re with a group of mixed experience/fitness.

Along with the chargers, don’t forget a US to euro plug adapter.

That’s in my master list above.

My only advice? Just book the trip. Enjoy the lovely roads, stunning climbs, beautiful weather and fantastic cafe stops. Don’t just blast around, head down chewing the stem. Take in as many villages as you can. Campanet, Petra, Sineau, Alaro, Arta plus many more. Find the little back lanes and enjoy yourself.

Do people bring a lock or does the bike storage in hotels generally have locks? Have you stayed at a hotel that allows bikes in your room? I have not picked a hotel yet. Staying for more than a few days so unfortunately (travelling) / fortunately (own bike) will be bringing my own bike. Thanks

Most hotels in Mallorca either let you keep your bike in the room (or balcony) or have a bike room. I’ve never taken a lock in a dozen visits. Club Pollentia is a popular cyclists hotel that’s reasonable cost.

Hey, a bit of a late reply, but I stayed many times in this hotel:

The hotel is great, but best of all: a whole parking level in their car park has been repurposed as a bike garage. They have great rental bikes with service and support. It’s not from the hotel but a Swiss run company: “Phillips Bike Team”. Nothing but good things to say about the hotel and the bikes. They also offer guided tours, however not from may to august, so that does not count for the OP. Also, the area is great, you are very near to some of the best climbs and the beautiful western coastal road of Mallorca. Enjoy!

One of my favorite things about Mallorca is the hundreds of thousands of dollars in bikes casually strewn about on every town square. Roadie heaven, really.
