I’ve come across a few forum posts regarding training plans / approaches for 10 mile time trials and I’m wondering what or how people have decided to prep for their season.
All of my events for next season are between seven and ten miles (7km-16km) with one twenty miler in the middle. The majority are ten. From what I’ve read in other posts TR has recommended either the Sprint Tri or Climbing RR specialty phases with Sweetspot base one and two and Sustained power for the build phase.
I’m curious what others have tried while targeting this distance. I’m wondering if it’s possible or beneficial to do SS base one followed by Sprint base then follow Sprint through the build and specialty phases?
