AIFTP in retrospect!

Wait a minute! In the most recent podcast, Jonathan said he could “run AIFTP in retrospect” at 27:35. I have big gaps where I don’t have AIFTP, and I’d love to know where TR thinks I was during those periods. It would make TR “stickier” for me if I could go back and see pre-TR how I responded to different training prescriptions.

Maybe that should be a feature they charge extra for…

But, then there would be 30 threads of people saying they don’t trust AIFTP now because their FTP (based on a 20 minute test) was 5 or 20 watts higher or lower than AIFTP’s today guesstimate of their Zwift performance from 2 years ago. Take the lessons you’ve learned and focus on improving, moving forward.

I think AIFTP is really good. The value for me would be to fill the gaps and see how it tracked with training I did in past. As an example, it would show me whether big volume had an effect, but also to go back and see what my FTP was for events/races where I performed well.

Would be interesting to see I guess?

AI ftp is seemingly much better than the old Ramp test but as with any of these black box metrics in TR/WKO5 etc Trust but verify.
